2012 US Teaching Ambassador Federal Education Policy Fellowship

Ryan Vernosh was selected from a nationwide applicant pool to be an education policy fellow for the US Department of Education in the Obama Administration. During this fellowship, Vernosh had the opportunity to travel the country to support the roll out of President Obama's Blueprint of RESPECT - a vision to elevate the teaching profession. Vernosh led roundtable conversations, visited schools, community centers, and met with families to gather perspectives about what is working and not working in schools across the country and report that information back to Secretary Arne Duncan and his cabinet of leaders.
